The Coastridge Low Lady ES is a lightweight shoe specially designed for simple terrains and paths, short hikes, and active daily use. Its fresh colours and materials further highlight the sporty design. The synthetic upper is mainly made of a robust fabric based on polyester, reinforced by a heel counter and a protective leather cap. From a sustainability perspective, this model is equipped with a PFC-free EcoShell membrane. The waterproof, breathable and durable membrane of Hanwag is based on a complex hydrophilic system that offers waterproofing and breathability without using fluorocarbons. Not only the membrane but the entire shoe is PFC-free. To ensure a high-quality connection between the sole and the upper, we use direct injection technology, where the soft material of the sole is directly injected and connected to the shoe's upper. This makes the new Hike Light sole from Hanwag particularly lightweight and very comfortable to wear. It consists of a selection of cushioning ingredients – a softer PU at the heel and toes – with stabilising rubber elements in the midfoot area. This multifunctional shoe is deliberately designed without a pronounced heel – the flatter the terrain, the less you need it. This ensures a smoother foot roll.
