Sporty design, lightweight construction and durable materials. The Coastridge Low ES is a dedicated lightweight shoe designed for easy terrains and trails, shorter day hikes and active everyday use. Its fresh colours and materials further highlight the sporty design. The synthetic upper is primarily made of a sturdy polyester-based fabric, reinforced with a heel cap and leather protection at the front. In terms of durability, this model features a PFC-free EcoShell membrane. The waterproof, breathable and durable PU membrane from Hanwag is based on a complex hydrophilic system that provides waterproofing and breathability without the use of fluorocarbons. Not only the membrane, but the entire shoe is PFC-free. To ensure a perfect high-quality bond between the sole and the upper, we use direct injection technology, where the soft sole material is directly injected and connected to the shoe's upper. This makes the new Hike Light sole from Hanwag particularly lightweight and very comfortable to wear. It consists of a selection of cushioning ingredients – softer PU at the heel and toes – with stabilising rubber elements in the midsection. This multifunctional shoe is deliberately constructed without a distinct heel – the flatter the terrain, the less you need it. This ensures a smoother roll for the foot.
